A native of Plano, Dr. Joseph graduated from Plano West Senior High School in 2003, subsequently went on to the University of Texas at Austin for his undergraduate studies, and then to medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. He completed his medicine internship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and a rigorous ophthalmology residency at the Downstate Medical Center in New York City.
To further advance his ophthalmology training, Dr. Joseph accepted a surgical glaucoma fellowship at Harvard Medical School’s Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary and Massachusetts General Hospital. At Harvard, he trained extensively with Dr. Mark Latina, a pioneer in medical laser therapeutics and the inventor of selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT), the most frequently used laser for open-angle glaucoma treatment.
Dr. Joseph is blessed to be able to return to the Dallas area and offer world-class eye care to his hometown community. On a personal note, he is happily married to his wife, Elizabeth, and they are parishioners at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf and passionately supporting his Longhorns.
